SMB/NAS Share

The SMB/NAS Share node allows users to connect to shared network folders using the SMB protocol. It supports access to file shares on both Windows and Linux environments. 

Configuration Steps

  • Server Name or Host – Enter the server name or IP address of the SMB host.
    • Supported formats
      • Hostname – file.core.net
      • IP Address –  192.168.1.1
  • User Name – Enter the username used to authenticate with the share.
    • Supported Formats
      • domainname\username
      • computername\username
      • .\username
  • Password – Provide the password associated with the user account to access the file share.
  • Exclude Symlinks
    • This option is enabled by default. It prevents symbolic links from being included in the file scan.

Path Configuration

  • Provide the Path to Your Data – Enter the folder paths to include in processing
    • Expected Format
      • path\todata*
    • Click “Add Another Folder” to define additional folders
  • Provide the Path to Exclude
    • Expected Format (same as Include)
    • Click “Add Another Folder” to exclude more paths
